What’s Happening
- Culinary Showcases: Over 30 countries will present their traditional dishes, including Caribbean nations like Jamaica and Haiti, South American countries like Brazil and Peru, and even European and Asian participants such as France, India, and Lebanon.
- Live Cooking Demos: Featuring renowned chefs like Chef Faila
- Cultural Performances: Expect music, dance, and art from across the African continent and diaspora. Artists like Gyedu-Blay Ambolley, Edem, and Sherifa Gunu will light up the stage.
- Diplomatic Flavors: Embassies—including Mexico—will present culturally significant dishes, such as fish and seafood soup and refried beans dip.
Why It Matters
Organized by Ghana’s Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, the festival is part of the Black Star Experience, celebrating Africa’s unity through food, heritage, and the arts.
